The sword slips out of my talons.
It clatters to the ground.
Divinetide yells,
Tears fall.
They stain the sand a dark brown.
In battle,
Divinetide says my blood may stain it red.

I train and train,
But I may never become strong enough.
I wonder how much sweat I have to pour into this arena,
To become something to the clan.
I shake my head.
Thoughts are for later,
Now I must work.

I slice through a dragon.
My arms are strong from training,
But not strong enough.
Blood splatters the feathers adorning my chest.
The fur coat I wear that is normally pink has turned a dark red.
I wish Divinetide could see me now.

Years later.
Strong.
Confident.
I know my place.
Divinetide may have taught me swordsmanship,
But she failed to teach me one thing.
She failed to teach me my worth.
And now I know it.
I am priceless.
Let's see Divinetide try to yell at me for that.
