"In the forest they dwell with a misty spell no one heard what once was said."
".... D-Don't look. I'm not.... "

There is nothing, now, that can kill her. She's a Chosen of the Mother, twisted into a creature of the night, and she's better for it. The change, however, has not rid her of her scars, and these days she wears them with pride.

Iliad was wrong about her, though the rift between the siblings has never healed, and Iskal remains convinced that her other siblings would kill her given the chance.

Magically gifted but physically the weakest runt of the clutch, Iskal's fate was to die at the claws of her father. Or, it would have been, had Iliad and Nadja not intervened, acting on the words of the seers.

Underneath the birdskull and hood, her right horns are broken, and deep scars snake out from under the eyepatch over her left eye - injuries and reminders of her traumatic start to life. The other eye darts fearfully side to side, even as she tugs at wraps, desperate to hide herself under them. Here and there, faint gold markings shine through. Threaded between are the savage scars of infections that should, by rights, have killed her, even with the aid of a healer.

Her kind eyes are a stark, startling contrast to the cold red of Satevis, who never seems far from her if she's outside. She huddles behind him briefly - as if his bulk will shelter her - before fleeing back into the lair.

She's never seen alone, even inside the lair's twisting tunnels.
