Her mind is sharp. She’s awfully perceptive of the world around her, right down to the detail. The details are important, they must be. It’s her job to be a guard, and despite being considered a new and fresh face among the group, she does it well. Of course she climbs the ranks, her job rides on how finely she can follow the details. Where would she be if she couldn’t. She doesn’t like to dwell on that, the demons in those details aren’t the nice sort. So she throws herself into her work. At least the pay is good, she couldn’t care more or less about the people besides the ones who pay her. She is only here because they needed the extra muscle. She tells herself she’s only here because they need the extra muscle. The other guards aren’t terrible. She could care less about the higher goals of the group, but the other guards are decent enough company. She doesn’t linger longer than needed, and doesn’t bother the others. She simply doesn’t care enough at the moment to become invested. Her mind is sharp. She throws herself hard into the work, because things sting. The spines are sharp, and she herself is not immune to the venom that sits in them. She does this to ignore the stinging every time she manages to accidentally nick herself with a spine. She also does this to ignore the details. She doesn’t have the time, and feels it less important to look back. As long as she keeps her mind clear and keeps moving forwards, things get done. Lingering and looking back does nothing. The headaches that often plague her also do not help things. She hates how sharp her mind is, enough to give her a dull ache at random times. It’s enough to spot the details in everything, and often the monsters that lurk behind the details. That being said, she wasn’t hired to think deeply about things, and she isn’t fond of pain. So she ignores that, and throws herself back into work. She couldn’t care less about whether or not anybody else knows these things, so she doesn’t share. She's only here to be muscle for the group, and the group pays well. Relations
