Garod is the NASA Nerd astronomy enthusiast of Vulstalridge. Having been self-educated on most things regarding space and Sornieth's place in it, he's who you'd go to for anything to do with the night sky. Garod can tell you which constellations you can see at any given season, and which ones you should follow to maintain a sense of direction on your travels. Faithfully diligent with his calendars, you'll also never miss a meteor shower or a cool looking eclipse with him around. And planet alignments? Oh, no one's allowed to miss planet alignments. Sorry, he doesn't make the rules.

Garen was pleasantly surprised to see that their firstborn son was nearly his spitting image. Nightblood suggested that he carry his father's name, but Garen opted to be a little creative and instead combined their names as a bit of a play on Mirror dragons' customs. Nightblood agreed that Garod sounded pretty gosh darn cool, so they kept it.
