A B S I N T
They called it murder, the act that finally had her banished. She called it necessary. She'd shown the male care and taught him to fight to some degree; just enough to make him feel as if he were worth something and then she sacrificed him to the Lightweaver. They were supposed to stay in their God's good graces, no? And that's all she was trying to do - weed the weakest members and put them somewhere they'd do good for the clan. Once banished she wandered for a bit, finding a familiar and a few tokens that she treasured above all others. After a time it became clear that she wouldn't be able to do anything with her calling unless she settled and made a clan of her own. The struggle would be finding those who would be willing to listen and do as she wished. It would be harder to convince males, they weren't as actively offended by those that are less than them unless their mates were as well. That left little to it, unmated females would make up the first portion of her clan. |

She had never expected it to go so well, telling tales and warping minds to see things the way that she saw them. She made sure that each female had their own purpose, and individual need so they felt as if they truly belonged. And some of the did, she liked some more than others, but in truth, it was simply a means to an end. It was imperitive that she keep the females close because if word got out what truly happened, they'd never have anyone to sacrifice in the end. It was pleasing to finally be finished. To have created something that fell in place with her ideals and beliefs. To have followers believers and to feel as if she were truly fullfilling her purpose to the Lightweaver. Yidneth had singularly created the perfect clan. No children were kept, sent off to different clans or to the Lightweaver if no one wanted them. The males were subservient but a few of them were kept as mates for their simple beauty and the breeding matches they could make. No one existed without a purpose, even if that purpose was simply to die |
