Unlike others of her species, Kalista is solitary.

Because of the last time that she teamed up with her fellow Mirrors, she was viciously beaten to an inch of her life, and was left forever distrustful of her peers ever since then. The cause of the betrayal? A failed hunt, and her flesh would be on their dinner tables tonight to placate their anger.

Fortunately, Kalista manages to escape, but only from toppling off the cliff of Carrion Canyon does she manage to do so. Wary of the dangers that lurked below, her pack left her be, believing that the horrors would finish her off in the end.

But instead of dying like her assailants had hoped, Kalista was reborn, and remade with the mystic arcana underneath the sand of where she bled. Magic deep from the bones of the fallen buried beneath the earth were awoken, and it infused itself into her bloodstream, producing the glowing runes and blue hue that light along her body to this day.

Now, Kalista walks with her new found strength to seek vengeance on those who have wronged her, and for those too weak to seek it.
