Biography
When Topaz approached Kadi with his idea, he knew it wouldn't go well. Kadi was fiercely protective of their land in the Twisting Crescendo, and it wouldn't be easy to convince her. But one look at Citrine and her blank stare spurred him on.
It started as poorly as he feared. Kadi was in a rage at the idea of leaving the Windswept Plateau, feeling it an abandonment of her post. She shouted and threatened Topaz - offering to let him take Citrine and leave if that's what he wanted. But the clan wasn't moving.
Then Topaz revealed his true fear. The worrisome changes weren't limited to just Citrine any more. He asked Kadi when she had last spoken to Beryl. She admitted it had been a while - she'd been busy in the field. He encouraged her to go speak to him now. Kadi came back shaken and disturbed.
"Who else?" she asked.
"Nibiru for certain. Possibly Falias as well."
Kadi nodded. "I'll speak with Sapphire. We move to the Sunbeam Ruins by the end of the month. Windsinger - and I suppose Lightweaver - hope we find what's wrong, and fast."
As Kadi left, Topaz rested for a moment on a rock cropping. He prayed that his and Idocrase's suspicions and hopes were correct - that the answers did indeed lie in the land of Light. Because they probably didn't have much time.
