Giardia is an Imperial who was born to Pharynx and Vena Cava here in the Great Furnace of the Ashfall Waste. Her father's love of collecting familiars and her mother's love of keeping an alarming amount of food helped hone her interest for keeping and managing collections of things. Due to Pharynx's diligence in keeping familiars and the clan's overall wealth, Giardia knew she would be an asset in helping with the clan's hoard.

When Clan Aves' extensive collection of valuables started to grow exponentially, Syrinx made the decision to create a vault for his most treasured items. Giardia became in charge of both the hoard and the vault, and managed well for a short time until it became too large for one dragon to deal with. Albumin was then recruited to manage the hoard, and Giardia then went on to manage the vault's many contents.

Her basic tasks are daily inventory and organization, and she often uses her parents' help in managing the items they are most familiar with. As the clan's renown has started to grow, Giardia has also expressed a desire to train with Gyri and Melanoma so that she would be able to properly defend the vault should she need to.
