Happy snappy boy
Will you exalt him? Who knows. I don’t.
I sold him at fodder price because I needed rid of him.
N’er do I wish a dragon’s exalt.
But of course, he is yours to do what you will

Everything was so pristine and beautiful. The ice and the snow glittered like the night sky. The
waves of ice and tundra were enchanting. Adox's home was delicate and beautiful, like the petals of a rose.
He hated it.
The moment Adox came out of his shell he scratched up the nice nest and writhed, calmed only
when he got fed. Bright, icy eyes peeked out like the first two stars to appear after the sunset, and were the only part of Adox that didn't seem slick and strange. His smooth body and flowing underbelly and thin wings allowed him to drift and slip his way around his home, and from the moment he learned to walk he caused chaos.
He played tricks on the rest of his clan, and did whatever he wanted, going wherever he
wanted to go. He did not speak, and he did not listen to his parents. He was mute, and didn't want to communicate. He didn't feel the need to. No one else around him really understood the rush he felt when he took something put together and tore it apart. The exhilaration of deconstructing, figuratively or literally, was incredible. He was curious, and didn't want to be part of the organized clan around him-- he wanted to make a mess of things.
When his parents finally had enough of his silly games and made him stay in his nest, the one he
had hatched in, for a full day, he lost it. The hatchling threw a temper tantrum, and tore it to pieces, until it was completely useless.
There has to be more, he thought to himself. So he left. Living entirely off of small bugs and
bits of grasses he found along the way, Adox travelled from home, flying among the trees and hiding in random clans in his slick, tricky manner. When he finally reached the edge of the wandering contagion, he was exhausted. He was still a hatchling. He didn't get very far before collapsing.
Adox woke up to an imperial carrying him through the air. She whispered reassuringly to him-
telling him her name was Galaxia, and that she was going to take him to a safe place, and not to fuss because he was very small and she was very big, and that he should go back to sleep. He only tried to escape for a little bit, but stopped. The view below him was beautiful. There were winding vines each growing for themselves and dead shrubs and a dragon or two. Some of the dragons seemed dazed and confused and exhausted, near the brink of death. Others had places in mind and figured out how to cross obstacles in the terrain as they went. Everything seemed to have a mind of its own, whether it was even alive or not, but they also had a surging sense of unity. A need to go farther, and to get bigger.
A need to spread complete and udder chaos.
