The ghostly procession whirls round and round, surrounding you. Your vision is blocked by the slowly spinning spirits. Their gleaming miasmal forms match the dull warm glow of the chandelier, a cascading formation of light and crystal suspended in space and time.
A single form approaches you from the side and invites you to a careful dance. As you circle through the crowd, the shapes become less defined, the lights brighter...
Bright enough to burn away your vision.
Bright as a thousand blazing suns.
You can’t pierce the incandescence. There is only the radiant white void.
You wake up. The decadent hall and its otherworldly inhabitants are gone. There’s nothing but a dark field and your camp in the distance. It must have been a dream. You decide to head back to the comfort of home.
