Biography
An egg appeared on the Exaltion Pillar in the Tide Lord's domain. No one knew where it came from. No one was around to take care of it. Alone, the egg hatched into a young male Fae. The Fae was a nervous little thing, smaller than most of the animals around it, and he hid away in the crevices of the Exaltion Pillar. For a long time he had only the sea creatures to keep him company. They were very poor company.
It was an unremarkable day when the Fae saw his first dragon. He had never seen such a creature before! He hid and watched as the creature was brought to the pillar by its clan. It stepped up onto the Pillar only a few feet from where the Fae was hiding. Then it proclaimed it's name - Zizi - and that it was a tribute to the Great and Bubbly Tide Lord. The dragon was surrounded by a blinding light and millions of bubbles and suddenly was gone. The Fae watched in amazement. This had never happened when he went onto the Pillar! The dragon's clan turned away from the Pillar and went back to their own territory, leaving the Fae alone.
He contemplated what he had seen for a long time. After that first time, it seemed to happen again quickly. Another clan came and gave two of its members to the Tide Lord. Over and over again, clans came from all over the sea to give members as tribute to Tide Lord. The Fae avoided all of them, scared to be found out. No one else seemed to live here and they were giving dragons away, not expanding their clans.
On another unremarkable day, after the Fae had grown from hatchling to dragon, he was spotted and confronted. The dragon was huge and like nothing that he had ever seen before. She was beautiful and he was reasonably intimidated. She asked him his name. And though the Fae had heard many names since the first Exaltation, he blurted out the very first name he had ever remembered hearing "Zizi. My name is Zizi." The dragon turned out to be Nocturne and her name was Sunburst.
