More Serthis than dragon, King was raised by blacksmith Serthis, in the Ashfall Waste. He didn't quite take to the rough, dirty blacksmithing like the rest of the Serthis, but he did become invested in the jewelry making that could come from it. The golds and silvers of jewelry making captivated him, and he searched all over for jewels that would perfect his pieces. Sure, he didn't make weapons like the rest of the Serthis in his group, but he could make gorgeous necklaces and earrings, and even make decorative pieces for the weapons that they could make. When it came time to move, King parted with the group. There weren't many goodbyes, as he was the 'black sheep' of the group. Still, he said goodbye to a few close friends, before heading out on his own, jewelry in tow. Whenever he stopped, he sold pieces to gather up money to hopefully settle down one day. And that day came, when he came upon the Tiered City of Ilthorne. The dragons of the Top Tier had expensive tastes, and King's jewelry was right up their alley. He set up shop, soon being able to afford a building, with all the business he was getting. While he did prefer those of upper class, an odd Spiral, with the head of a cobra, came from the Middle Tier to check out his shop. While she couldn't afford any of his jewelry, he fell in love with her at first sight. He continued to invite her into the shop, wanting to get to know her better. Soon, the two started to get together after hours, and became really close. Her name is Hoh, and she's King's number one love, even surpassing that of his jewelry making. When the store closes for the night, the two are immediately seen together, spending time with one another. He makes jewelry just for her, adorning her outfits for her rituals with the dead. True to his name, King is a bit haughty, and extremely vain. He's not quite holier-than-thou with his personality, but he sometimes comes pretty darn close. He takes great pride in how he looks, from his hair, down to his jewelry, and even the scales along his body. He hates getting dirty. He fits in with the hoity toity dragons of the Top Tier, but he's humble enough to go down to the Middle Tier with Hoh, and spend time there easily enough. |
