"Do not underestimate me."

The fae is small, her tail twined lightly with that of her equally-tiny mate, but all around her the Ashwound stretches through the pockmarked and folded ground, and the darkness within the cave openings hints of great spaces hidden below.

Her words are said simply, without threat, but there is a fire in her Plague-red eyes. Excolo has always been bigger than her body, though she'd never think of changing her breed; she is Fae, her monotone drone accentuated by flickers of her crest and wings. Though the Ashwound is larger than any one dragon could scrape from the earth, it exists because of her, as if she had reached down from above and laid it bare with her own claws.

Excolo, matriarch of the lair. Plaga's might and steadfast loyalty made it possible, but she made the plans. She still does.

The Guardian came to her when she was part of her birth clan, telling her that she was the one he was to serve with his life. They ran away then, filled with the enormity of that bond and what it could mean for them. They shared a nest shortly after. While they are no longer mates, they share a lasting bond that can only be severed by death.

And this clan and all within it? They are hers, blood and bone, by the Plaguebringer's will.
