Mae is the fastest runner in the Deep Forest Clan. Yes, she can fly, but she prefers to move on foot if at all possible, even when traveling long distances - which she does routinely, being the clan's messenger. She's friendly and non-confrontational, relatively well-liked, if a little weird. Her passion, besides running, is bird life. She just loves birds. She can identify any species just based on its call. She is, quite frankly, a huge nerd.

She's toward the bottom of the wildclaw pack, ranking above only her mate, Moth. She doesn't mind. She adheres to wildclaw hierarchy because she knows it's expect of her, but she spends plenty of time in the broader clan as well. As one of the most longtime members of Deep Forest, she's closer than most to Hunter. As hatchlings, she and Moth both attached themselves to Carmilla; the intense anarchist coatl tried to shake them but eventually became deeply fond of them, and the three are still close.
