Tanith was found outside of the clan's territory abandoned and alone, and while Vasuki, who found her, would never have left a baby dragon to fend for itself anyways, felt particulary drawn to Tanith, and has taken it upon himself to raise her.

This was the name of the Phoenician goddess of love, fertility, the moon and the stars. She was particularly associated with the city of Carthage
