Biography
Folia was unwanted in her homeclan somewhere in the Wandering Contagion due to her colors, which were highly unlike the pestilence the clan wanted to spread.
Folia always had a fondness for life, no matter how dead the world was around her. She made friends with the maggots that crawled around her clan's setup, and sometimes snuck off to find the occasional flowers at the edge of the wasteland, sometimes being gone for days on end.
To combat her wanderlust and her compassion for nature, the clan smeared blood in the shape of ancient runes onto her body. The blood dried onto her scales, and no matter what she tried, she could not get it off.
When the clan realized that nothing they could do would stop her from caring about nature, they exiled Folia from the Contagion. She obliged, taking her few belongings with her
She wandered and wandered far away from home, wanting to find the clan she belonged in. As she walked, she found that the diseased land was not what she liked at . All of the death and destruction was the exact opposite of what she preferred, and kept walking until the ground was no longer diseased and dying.
Instead, it flourished under fog and darkness, with various conifers blocking out the sun. Bioluminescent mushrooms were the only source of light, and the whole forest was unearthly and frankly, a bit terrifying. Folia could have sworn she had seen eyes in the darkness between the roots of trees, heard strange whispers around each bend, felt cold, spectral hands brush her wings and tail, trying to drag her back into the wooded area. She realized that even though it was deathly quiet, she had no chance of being heard, even if she screamed as loud as she could. With a pallid face and a quickened stride, she got herself out of the Tangled Wood as fast as possible.
