Nylus

Princely and gifted. His mother, the queen, was quick to take her disfigured child under her wing when the king's lips upturned into a sneer upon seeing his son. Since the day of his birth, he had been hidden by the public and coddled by his mother.
Nylus.
His name means "to disappoint" in his native language.
Of course, it was his father who named him. Children born with eyes upon the scales of their body are seen to be failures, something disgustingly wrong. History has proven dragons with that many eyes are bound to go mad when they mature. It was best that Nylus was kept away and never crowned prince.
But they never accounted for him to run away.
He did, and he never looked back, entering a different kingdom that was far, far away from his own. Smart, quick witted, and talented, it did not take long for him to pick up a trade. And with his eyes and beautiful scales, Nylus found that the dragons who lived in this kingdom, were much more accepting than those that lived in his.
And he has yet to grow mad.
