He's never been the particularly organized sort. Vyrek has wished for a long time that he was, that color-coded notes helped, that labeled shelves did anything, but the fact of the matter is that if his head wasn't attached, he'd lose it in a heartbeat.

He still takes notes faithfully. It's part of the job, after all, and a few distracted notes on the fauna he observes all day long is far better than no notes at all because he tried to remember everything. Granted, that still happens; more than once, he's been admonished by his colleagues for forgetting to bring basic supplies for the job.

But Vyrek means well, and his heart's in it. Even if he is painfully scatterbrained, he loves learning about the fauna of Sornieth, and even more, he loves sharing his myriad fun facts whenever prompted. There's no guarantee he'll remember something exciting about the creature you ask about, but there will always be something that comes to mind. He jokes that it's a little like meeting the famed Pinkerton: you never know what you're going to get, just that you'll get something.
