HALT! ❞ Calls a booming voice from within the depths of the cavern. In the distance, I could see the waning light pouring through from a grand gate structure, created and carved from solid stone which belonged to this cave. Before me, a great, fellow dragon rose above, beating its feathered wings. At first, I did not see its protruding, ghostly arms, which moved continuously as the Coatl began to speak to me.

Was this creature alive?

The question would remain unanswered, I realized – this being appeared to be one of the guardians of this place. I asked it for passage through as an explorer, in what respectful manner of a way I could at the time (I was quite frightened!).

Miraculously, I was granted entry! However, the masked Coatl took its time to explain a little about the home which it was guarding... before I noticed there was another wyrm, slithering towards me behind it... of the same colors, but of a different poise and make. Their voices were the same, and they spoke the same words – as if they were creatures of a hive mind.

We are Clan Empyrea – core-dwelling engineers who keep the world in shape, safe & shrouded from the tethers of outside evils. We, the Architects of Sornieth, invigorate your lands from underground, harnessing the generosity of this very earth's Core, so that all may remain in harmonious balance.

We are proud of our built-in, extensive architecture, built miles and miles into the ancient rocks of the earth. Our land's structures underneath the earth lead to various locations and allow access to the entirety of Sornieth; the systems are expansive, and also sport access to clean freshwater of the Canyons, for renewable irrigation and fishing at the clawtips of those working hard to preserve the world as is. ❞

Aeons of data harnessed by the drakes & wyverns of old are recorded as permanent observations in an ancient Library. Rings of light emanate above the spires of the Typhoon Towers, facilitated by magnetized machines – the Rings are a source of energy to the dragons, and act as what we call the Feast of Sornieth, supplying energy for its flora and fauna, all of which are absorbed in a manner that not visible to the naked eye.

Here in clan Empyrea, we swear by what we have dubbed [The Empyrean Promise] – Harnessing and utilizing the energy and resources of Sornieth without actively depleting or inherently wasting them. Our dragons are loyal to the bountiful gifts of the earth, and therefore we do not seek power or control over the functioning world – We simply wish to keep it in balance. ❞

Outside conflicts shall never make their way into our haven, and therefore it remains a sanctuary and hub for travelers, who do in fact discover the ancient lair via one of the Shrouded Tunnels that branch through most of Sornieth.

Otherwise, we do not reveal our place to the rest of this world.

This clan keeps close contact with all Deities, communicating through both Typhoon Towers in order to inform and receive information regarding the outside world. Naturally, our personal scribes and messengers venture out into the wild to take notes on the living and non-living matters of Sornieth – where all information is stored safely in the keeps of our Library. ❞
