Carya has but one passion in life - travelling.
She dreams of going to the ends of the world, exploring all corners that dragon-kind can. First, she's got to prepare herself. Carya earns her keep in the Clan as a Courier - a messenger of sorts who transports messages and small amounts of goods to different Clans. She's been to many places already, but she knows she hasn't seen it all. Besides, she probably isn't nearly in good enough shape to do so. Carya spends most of her free time training physically for travelling long distances - lots of long flights focused on stamina build-up, weight-lifting to build muscle, and occasionally training with the Clan's combat units to learn how to defend herself from others if need be. Carya wants to be prepared for just about anything.
Dying alone is something that deeply, deeply frightens Carya. She wants to travel, but dreads leaving her family and friends to do so - what if something happened to her, and they never saw her again? This may be why she's rather tentative in the courting scene; she doesn't want to build an incredibly strong bond with another if she's going to just be leaving them someday.
Unless, of course, he liked to travel too...
