Biography

Sigrid, merchant, mate to Havan

0htSMu8.png

Unlike their freshwater cousins, Southern Harbor Seals are found almost exclusively in the colder, saltwater regions near the Southern Icefields. They have adapted to the icy waters with a great deal of time and determination. As such, they are far heftier than normal Harbor Seals, sporting a layer of blubber beneath dappled grey hides that keeps them insulated even in the frigid floes. These dragons are capable of holding their breath for extended amounts of time and use their solid horns to break through the layers of ice that form on the water.

Southern Harbor Seals are far less social than their warm-weather cousins. They prefer to live solitary lifestyles, although they still convene on the shore twice a year for mingling and mating. During these gatherings, they often form spread-out groups that remain wary and alert as they rest and dry off. These gatherings are typically short and to the point; most come and go within the span of a couple days.
