[ physical description ]
Cyrus is an average-sized Wildclaw with uncombed feathers and a patchy brown Python pattern. He has large wings he doesn't know what to do with, and a gangly "average-teen" body. He usually wears aviator goggles, an old gross bandana, and a pack which Malle has put various medicines and herbs in, in case Cyrus hurts himself (which he usually does). He has bright blue Water eyes.

Cyrus is extremely adventurous and quite the daredevil. Wherever he goes, he creates chaos, whether it be accidental or on purpose; if it isn't Cyrus to cause trouble, it's his Trick-of-Light familiar, Rufus. The two are inseperable, and Cyrus' adoptive father Slate regularly kicks himself for ever giving the young Wildclaw a pet. While Cyrus is a pain for the adults in the Ridges, he's a hoot to the younger kids; Cyrus regularly babysits them and likes to teach them things kids really shouldn't know.

Cyrus doesn’t know much else other than the Ridges, as he was abandoned by his mother shortly after he was born. Romeo found him toward the border of the Sea and the Tangled Wood whilst fishing, and both he and Slate took upon themselves to care for him. Since he was not once allowed to leave the sight of the two ridgebacks, Cyrus grew curious as to what they were protecting him from. At age nine, he was gifted his first Familiar: a Trick of Light which he lovingly named Rufus. The two became inseparable, and Cyrus loved telling stories of traveling Sornieth he made up to the dog. These stories began to spark a flame, which would propel him into a young adult.
Growing into his teen years, Cyrus assumed a role as Verdigris’s apprentice in cartography; his childhood passion of exploration mixed with Verdigris’s stories of the outer world drove him to attempt escape from his safe haven. Slate, upon hearing this, became enraged, and retrieved him. This continued in a cycle for a long time, until Malle needed some supplies... | [img]img[/img] |
