HUX
The Husk Nightwarden

Born from a Dreamwarden and a former Nightmare, Hux combines the best and worst aspects of both creatures. Capable of great benevolence and great malevolence, or even both, Nightwardens wander the realms of sleep to connect with the slumbering minds of beings across the world.

In the Dream Corridors, Hux hunts Nightmares, despite taking more strongly after his former Nightmare father. To slumbering minds that stumble upon him in the realm of rest, he certainly appears nightmarish. Crystallized amber clings to his form, forming a protective armor, and his wings and claws secrete a honey-like substance. Fearsome fangs and shadowy limbs form the rest of his body, and to make matters worse, he is often surrounded by numerous cocoons of trapped malevolent beings. Despite his appearance however, Hux seeks to protect the sleeping minds he comes across.

For all the good he does, Hux's existence is a lonely one. Those he helps are often terrified of him, and those he hunts loathe him and attack on sight. Even other Nightwardens avoid him, and so he isolates himself save for when he goes on his hunts. His collection of cocoons can be found scattered throughout the Corridors, but to those who don't immediately flee, they can often find other aspects of the intelligent and creative mind Hux truly is. Sheets of finely crafted music on waxed paper and carefully shaped amber sculptures can be found among his personal effects. Various broken instruments can be found in different states of repair as well. To any who would hear him play, he would surely play his heart and soul out.
