Biography
Snapshot: Solemn, bitter, with a harsh and hoarse voice, Adrasteia once took lives professionally. She has a terrible, lethal, grace, and registers to other skydancers as having little to no emotions. She isn’t against killing, but considers the act far more deliberately now; and does not speak much of her past. She can be wry and cutting, when she wants to be, her voice going soft and whisperlike when she finds something amusing. Background: A former assassin with a strict code of honor, taking contracts only when she judged the mark worthy of death, Adrasteia was betrayed; tricked into killing an innocent. After she ended those who’d so used her, Adrasteia left the Tangled Wood permanently, burning all bridges that would allow her to return to work there, and set out. Since then she’s been on her own for nearly five years. She doesn’t feel guilty, precisely, but instead has a presiding anger, a hatred against the thought of being so used without her permission. While she’s been on her own till now, she’s grown attached to the idea of not having to scramble as much as she did before. And the idea of serving in a clan, of protecting and providing and serving a community, has grown appealing. A bridge between her old life and her new. Goal: Find a sense of equilibrium, of purpose, again. Protect her new home. Punish those who trespass against the clan. |
