Hallatar

(29.8.2018) Sofya had begun to see really realistic dreams. In these dreams someone or something was calling out to her. It was in dire need and pleaded. She followed. Every night she traveled a little farther. She walked through the lands. The scenery around her changed faster than she could follow, until she was in a small lair at the Focal Point. There she found the pleading voice. As it saw her it changed. It was no longer pleading and sad, it was triumphant and it begun to crawl to her from the tundra it had tormented. Sofya ran, but could not hide. She felt it coming closer and closer. When she woke up she sighed in relief, it was a dream after all. Then she felt the same satisfied gaze on her.

(5.9.2018) The being plagued her. She felt it more ond more often watching her, whispering to her, even touching her at times. She didn't dare to tell anyone. Maybe she believed they wouldn't believe her. Maybe she was already influenced by it-- No! That couldn't be! It was so far away.

(21.10.2018) Sofya got tired of it. For so long the being had harassed her by screaming and touching her. It couldn't do any real harm, or so it seemed. Her parents had by now figured out that she actually was possessed. Their worry was too much for Sofya and she decided to head off to face the being on her own. She left a heartfelt note for her parents, telling them how much she loved them and that she will return after she's dealt with the creature. She suited up for the journey to Focal Point

(23.11.2018) She was tired. She couldn't even remember when was the last time she slept. The journey had taken a lot longer than she thought. Every step was a battle. The screaming, pestering and scratching of this... thing had only grown stronger. Now it could even draw blood, tho in form of tiny scratches. She was scared, terrified to the brink of insanity at times. She missed home so much... She missed her parents, all their questions, their smiles, their, arguments, she missed everything of her parents. How stupid she was to go alone! It was a poltergeist she was heading to see! It was obvious it would only grow stronger as the distance shortened. She wanted to give up, to go back, but she couldn't. She was certain something horrible would happen the moment she would decide so.
She had arrived to the Starwood strand. When and how, she wasn't sure, but now it was night, a beautiful night under the glowing trees, and she had no fire, nor strength. At some point she had taken off her gear and forgotten them somewhere. The winds of the plateau were warm and caressing, but here the winds were erratic, moist and cold. She was an ice dragon, but she too was vulnerable to cold, especially as she was so weak. When was the last time she ate? She curled up beneath the trees in as sheltered place as she could find. She shivered for a while then drifted off to silent slumber.
"Foolish hatchling" a voice said. "You came right to me and you thought you could win"
Sofya bolted up. She was in darkness. The forest was gone just like the wind and smell of ocean.
"You made it all so easy for me, I thank you for that" the voice was hollow as if it echoed from a long cave. Yet it wrapped around her, crackling like frozen snow. She could feel the being all around her, but could not see. What's more, she couldn't feel its aura. It was not dragonic in origin...
"Who are you?!" Sofya's voice was small and frail in this vast nothingness. "What do you want from me?! LEAVE ME ALONE!!" She screamed from the top of her lungs but her voice was still like sigh.
"Oh I want you" the voice said. Something started to twirl in the darkness. It was cold and sinister. It was stronger than anything Sofya had witnessed before.
"Who are you?" Sofya trembled.
"My name is Hallatar" the being appearing before her said with a faceless grin. "And you are my snack and new body"
Hallatar plunged towards her with a hiss of winter and she felt cold teeth sink through her body, into her very soul.
"Mom... Dad... Please help me..."

A dragon rose from the dent between the tree's roots. The body felt exhausted, but that would be easy fix. First Hallatar wanted a scroll. Skydancers were too big to her tastes.
