In lore, Purpur has virtually zero data written about her from Kururu. There's good reason for this. Purpur is the restless soul of his mother, Kari, who he doesn't want to associate with anymore. The only clear memory Kururu has of his mother is her telling him to run from the camp in the Tangled Wood. This temporary camp was part of an underground dragon-trafficking ring. Mere hours after Kururu fled with his two other siblings, who wouldn't make it out of the brambles, his mother was also killed.

Kari watched over her son, watching over him as he managed to do alright on his own. He got an education in the Sunbeam Ruins and continued studying in engineering in the Shifting Expanse. It was there he was randomly paired up with four other dragons. It was here that he also became a member of the Council of Technology. Kururu would soon leave the few dragons he called friends to study further in the Starfall Isles. He would be stopped by Gespenst on the way there and be convinced to stay in the Pagfenx. This entire time, Kari watched over Kururu. She was so proud of her little boy.

She was only a guardian angel for so long. Kalx, the god of chaos, found her motherly instincts towards her only surviving son intriguing. He coiled around her like a snake, filling her kind spirit with a deep lust for blood. Her spirit became twisted and disfigured beyond recognition, and she began to change form to fit his image. It was in the ruins of the Pagfenx that she began to appear before him. Her kind, motherly voice calling out for him would send him running. Every day, her voice becomes more and more tempting. It's only a matter of time...
