Dichotomy

It is uncommon, but not unheard of for such things to happen. You hatched at as odd time, yes? You may not remember, but your earliest memories are of being caught between two forces. You hatched during twilight, caught between night and day. You hatched on the very edge of the Sunbeam Ruins, caught between Light and Shadow. It isn't unheard of for hatchlings to reach as you did and... be caught between themselves. You were both a dragon and not. Those first weeks were painful as you had no control of your gift and shifted at random and only in parts, but you soon mastered it enough to hold a form.

Coming soon will be a pearlcatcher, of gold and blue scales. He will think of your gifts as a curse and seek to "cleanse" the clan of your presence. You have two options, skydancer. You can try and fight the pearlcatcher alone, or collect allies to help you. Fight him alone and you will trap yourself, unable to escape from his powerful magic even with all your many talents. Your dream will become reality, and you will be lost forever, ousted from your clan and with no friends to your name. You cannot face the future alone. Find someone to rely on, and they can show you the way out.
