Aridatha

Strongly aligned to the light, Aridatha is not a fanatic, but she is very much set in her ways and she's the Light as the best element. This had led to some trouble with her son, Ilo, who remained in the Home Nest, and was born of a brief tryst between herself and one of the Shadow, though she will not explain how it came to be. Ilo, who is part Light and Part Dark, who turns to neither and defines himself as his own being, a confusing matter for Aridatha to try and understand.

She is trying her hardest to understand her son's point of view, and while she has had some success with personal growth, they more frequently but heads than agree.
