Biography
The infection spreads.
Subspecies: Poison Ivy
Growing along the edges of murky, oozing puddles of sludge in the Scarred Wasteland is a particularly unpleasant variety of Poison Ivy. Contact with this plant produces not only a frustrating, stinging rash but the oils that cause the rash can sometimes trigger a bizarre mutation in dragons that come in contact with it.
Affected dragons find their skin changing; blisters forming and leaking oil, strange vine-like tendrils sprouting from under scales. This occasionally grotesque mutation is, however, a two-edged sword. The blisters are uncomfortable and constantly ooze oil. Uninfected dragons frequently shun their presence when they discover that the infected have in some ways become the plants. The oil they secrete causes intense, burning rashes upon contact and is difficult to wash off. At the same time, the very rumour of a Poison Ivy dragon's presence does wonders for the security of a lair, acting as a powerful deterrent to all but the most determined invaders (and even they may be distracted by the itching by the time they gain entry.) Infected Poison Ivy dragons also gain some immunity to the oil, and their offspring even more so.

Lurking in the infested undergrowth around the Wyrmwound for some time, a new lair of Poison Ivy is preparing to send its tendrils out into the world once again.
