Clan Patriarch
Oberon is different from Titania in that he proritises pleasure over anything else. He values dragons that keep him entertained, he loves to eat high quality food, and he's always the first in line to buy expensive foreign items from Voght whenever the Ridgeback returns to The Focal Company.To dragons that amuse him, Oberon is extremely generous, full of praise and laughter, he gives them the best in life: precious jewels, rare apparel, and beautiful trinkets. To dragons who do not amuse him, Oberon is uncaring and dismissive, quick to ignore their issues and complaints. It's best left unsaid what happens to dragons who fall out of the Fae's favour. It's rumoured that he's particularly cruel to those he believes have become dull, using his powerful Arcane magic to warp their bodies and minds in twisted ways to make them fun again. Oberon is currently clan patriarch in name only, he earned his title by assisting Titania in killing the original leaders of The Focal Company, but due to the two's defective relationship, he prefers sitting back and letting his bitter mate do all of the work while he indulges in various affairs. The two have no heirs, mostly due to their inability to stay in the same room for more than a few minutes without arguing. They do however have a shared parental relationship with a permanently youthful Mirror named Spike, who they both claim was mysteriously discovered in the Starwood Strand. Oberon has been known to joke that in the event of his death, Spike the Mirror hatchling would take his place. This worries most dragons. He has many lovers, claiming he can't help but flirt when he sees a beautiful dragon and simply must ask them out. He has a preference for Arcane dragons, claiming dragons from other flights are inherently uglier and less dainty. If Oberon could have it his way, the clan would be full of attractive, interesting Arcane dragons and nothing more. |
