Solaine

Solaine inherited the name of a great warrior, one who felled thousands with the strokes of her claws, a dark-scaled, bright-eyed legendary guardian dragon. Upon learning of this, by a stranger on the road in passing, she suddenly felt... inadequate. How could a quiet, tinkering, Tundra, one who preferred to duel by magic rather that slashing claws, possibly live up to that? She hopes she can...at least someday, anyways. But Auriolus cares for her for what she is, not what she was named as, and she has briefly entertained the though of staying as she is...before she abruptly brushes it off with feelings of inferiority.
In an effort to make herself into something, better, stronger, perhaps even finally worthy of her name, she crafted, over a period of days, enhancements for her wings, and plans to enhance the rest of her body as well.
Solaine has a rather different approach to mana observation than most of the other dragons: she's working on automating the process, setting up mechanical research stations across the territory that monitor magical energy and send their data back to a central terminal, where it can be stored. Whereas other mana observers make frequent trips across the territory, Solaine is content to remain in her lab, refining her automation. This is partially out of her passion for tinkering and partially out of necessity: her memory, more suited to smells than to sights and magical readings, benefits greatly from the existence of a terminal to record important information for her.
