Pathology isn't a dragon - "she" is quite literally a scourge upon Sornieth. Her only purpose in life is to bring illnesses to living beings, particularly intelligent beings like dragons whose suffering bring her the most joy. For some reason, she seems to find an even greater pleasure in targetting Mallydams and his creatures, killing dozens of gulls and regularly threatening his very life. She's especially fond of respiratory diseases like pneumonia, and Mallydams' lungs are forever scarred by her efforts to kill him.

No one is quite sure why she targets Mallydams like so (maybe because as a veterinarian he is trying to counter her attacks on animals?), but she followed him to the Chiroptera Cult and doesn't seem to want to leave the area. For some reason the Cult's wards let her pass, which means she was always supposed to come to it, maybe to be finally stopped? In any case, her new mortal enemy is Akantha and her very capable medical team, who have reduced the threat she posed to a simple annoyance by efficiently curing every dragon she attacks.

After enduring a thorough purification ritual by Akantha and some of the other Council members, she became so weak that she is incapable of leaving the Cult, and though she can still make dragons ill, the diseases transmitted are rarely serious. Occasionally the Council may permit her to let loose and infect greatly a threat to the Cult.
