Mariposa

The Seer


Nobody is too sure where Mariposa comes from. Some say the gods made her themselves, some say that she was made by a witch in the woods. Nobody knows why she chose her clan either, but she seems to like it here. Sometimes she’ll tell them little fortunes. Some people take them at face value, or they’ll make it fit to them, so she doesn’t have to do much of the work. This works for Mariposa, they’ll leave her alone this way. She likes being left alone. She likes being a mystery.
The name Mariposa means everything to her, she has bloomed and grown immensely since she arrived at her clan. Her name also validates her love and trust in nature. She loves animals, and sometimes they tell her things, the fortunes. She has no idea how she understands the animals. Maybe it’s just all in her head. Or, maybe it is magical, like they say. She’s not sure if even she believes them, the fortunes, but that’s alright, they aren’t for her, they’re for you.
