Though each of the Council's elemental representatives pays some homage to their Flights as a part of their duties, none take it quite as far as Pyrite. Having grown up surrounded by some of Light's most pious members, she is the most devout dragon on the roster. Her knowledge of Light's religious and secular culture is unparalleled, though her borderline fanaticism can sour the wealths of knowledge she possesses to those who ask questions unprepared. The matter of upholding Light tradition is one she takes more than seriously, a fact which makes her representative duties much easier.
Beyond this primary duty, Pyrite also serves as the foremost priestess of Thunder Hollow's central place of worship, the Temple of Prisms. Though all eleven draconic gods have a presence within the Temple, the clan's high population of Light dragons means that Pyrite performs more rituals than many of the other priests and priestesses who oversee worship. She is also responsible for maintaining the Temple's overall cleanliness and its library of religious tomes, which contributes to her high status. She views the religious practices of other Flights with a small amount of disdain on account of her own personal loyalties, but she places Light values such as purity and knowledge above even her own views. This allows her to attend the whole Temple readily.
Pyrite was born with Primal eyes, a fact which contributed heavily to her religious upbringing. Out of respect to her deity's preeminent brilliance, she wears a veil over her eyes at all times, only removing it during select rituals in which she functions as a direct extension of the Lightweaver.
