9/20/18 Dear Journal,

The Volita Clan is an interesting place to be.

Dragons here have no set idea about anything as a clan, they're all as different as could be. Their wings are the only thing keeping them together as a clan it would seem, but they're all very close to one another. Their Clan Leaders, Angelic and GlowWorm, are very kind to me and make sure I'm having a nice time in their clan each and every day. Angelic seems to be ill. When I asked one of the other dragons in the clan about the dark shadows that have been growing across her, they seemed afraid. "She is not herself, be careful," they told me in a hushed whisper, before scampering off.

I don't dare ask Angelic what it is. I keep away from her when I am alone. It's not that I don't trust her.. but.. the words of the dragon have given me a sense of fear.
The food here is delicious, though I have noted that they won't eat any form of bees or butterflies. I came close to being cast out when I had gone to get a quick snack. Luckily one of the other dragons, a red Skydancer, stopped me first. How strange. Perhaps they believe they are descended from them..? I will have to ask further.

I plan on returning here in the future after I have left to study another clan; they have lovely gardens.

Till our next adventure,
Marko

9/23/18 Dear Journal,

I have arrived at Winter Night Hatchery through my traveling.

I encountered a yellow and red fae whom goes by Blood Moon who brought me here. She's a curious sort. She claims to be the leader of the place. But, I shall recall the events that occured when she brought me here. Blood Moon brought me into a long stretch of cave that stretched on longer than I could see. She brought me to a section of the large cave, where there were many waterfalls of lava that illuminated the area. She knocked on a boulder wedged into the wall. She then proceeded to move it over, quite impressive considering she was a fae.

She then entered the chamber she had opened up, I followed her. I spotted a white Coatl curled up in a nest of moss and feathers in one corner and another approaching me. He walked up and held his talons out, 'I'm Dwight, nice to meet you, I guess you'll be staying here for the night.' he smiled at me, I shook his talons. Blood Moon nodded at me, 'This is where you'll be staying, have a good sleep, I'll send out a gathering patrol for the morning.' I nodded back, smiling.

I watched Blood Moon exit the cave. I felt something heavy headbutt into my side, I flinched at the sudden pain and opened my eyes to a white Coatl lumbering over me. Dwight knocked her off of me, he then proceeded to try and calm her. 'He could be a spy! You never know with him, Dwight, you know that! Of all dragons you should!' She screamed into his face while pointing an accusing talon in my face. 'Aldwyn, Aldwyn, only one of his dragons has been here today, he won't send a spy.' he pushed Aldwyn's talons out of my face, then helped pull me up to my feet.

'I'll bring you to someone else's.' said Dwight while escorting me away from the white Coatl.
I was curious as to who 'he' was, but I was too dazed and fatigued to ask questions. 'Don't mind Aldwyn, she can erupt at times like this place.' he chuckled. We walked through the cave some more, he then knocked a boulder wedged into the wall similar to how Blood Moon had done, these dragons seem to have some kind of tradition with the boulders, knocking before entering. 'Okay, this is Midna's, she was a traveler like yourself, you might be able to share stories.'

Till our next adventure,
Marko

9/24/18 Dear Journal,

I am still with the dragons of the Winter Night Hatchery.

I have been staying with Midna in her cave. She's quite the charming one. She sleeps with her wolf familiar, she has told me some of the stories of her travels. Apparently she says that her gray wolf, or 'Link' as she calls it has been alive longer than any dragon. I don't really believe her, a wolf older than the Deities? I really don't think that's possible. She is charming, nonetheless. She is very passionate about that wolf... She brought me outside the cave today, we went flying together. I loved feeling the Fire Flight wind through my feathers and wings. I will admit, the smoke in the air really dried out my throat! The water I drank afterward was extremely refreshing. Blood Moon showed me around the area a little more. They have a cave stockpiled with all sorts of foodstuffs. Dragons just come by and collect food from there every now and again. There is also a central chamber in the cave which they call the 'Feeding Chamber'. That's when they all gather to eat at a certain time. I was invited to come along, I did. I observed the dragons that seemed to be farthest away and closest together. The Coatl that attacked me yesterday seems to still be suspicious of me. She was giving me and another different white Coatl death glares. So far, I have figured out that there are two dragons here that know how to utilize herbs to heal. Blood Moon's mate, Hobson is one. Lorenda is another, she is a blue and yellow Pearlcatcher.

Till our next adventure,
Marko

9/25/18 Dear Journal,

I still remain in the Winter Night Hatchery.

I planned to only write two entries for my stay here and then enjoy what little time I had left. But some news has arisen. I had been flying around with Midna again, but she seemed to be lagging behind a bit, at first I thought nothing of it, she might have just been tired. Once we landed back at the cave, she told me that she would go to Lorenda's for a moment because she wasn't feeling too well. I said I'd just head back to our chamber and then wait for her. I headed back to our chamber and I just couldn't manage to sit still, so I decided to wander around the cave while I was waiting for her. I ran into the Coatl while I was out and about. I walked past when she grabbed me by the cuff of my coat and pinned me against the cave wall. 'I know Odin sent you here.' she glared at me and I tried to pull back from her but just managed to flatten myself against the wall. 'Tell Odin that I can see through anything he throws at me. Tell him...' the Coatl seemed to be in deep thought. '...That I'm an old friend, will ya?' the Coatl released me from her grip and I fell onto the dusty cave floor. The Coatl glared and snarled at me. 'Also, tell him he needs to get something better than you and that other one to fool me.' The Coatl stalked off into the darkness of the cave. I spotted her saying something to Midna before Midna came running toward me. She roared into the darkness of the cave and Lorenda came running, clinging to her pearl. I don't remember what happened after that, but I remember waking up seeing Midna crouched over me with my wounds from the Coatl covered in some kind of poultice and slime. I remember her telling me that she was expecting my hatchlings, I only smiled weakly at her as that was all I could manage. This is all I will write for the Winter Sky Hatchery, but I am not looking forward to leaving with Midna bearing my hatchlings, but, alas, I will eventually have to leave.

Till our next adventure,
Marko.

9/29/18 Dear Journal,

I came unfortunately close to my demise tonight! I found myself wandering dangerously close to the crystal pools and was attacked by some cranes and fishers. I was seeing my life flash before my eyes when a seemingly ragtag group of dragons came to my rescue! I learned quickly their names. The leader of the trio was Wren, a nocturne who's circuit markings practically jump off of her skin. A pearlcatcher named Euterpe- despite not being of the arcane, she dressed herself as if she had been her entire life, and Lavendersong, a simple looking coatl who seemed to be the oldest and wisest of the group.

These three dragons not only rescued me, but offered me a place to stay among their clan for a rest- I've found myself welcome among these outcasts. Their "leader," if you can call her that, is a massive guardian named Ilse. Her clan seems to be her charge, and most of the dragons here were rescued by her personally. I cannot help but have a short laugh at the fact that her unofficial children obtained the same quality- that is to rescue other dragons, despite who they appear to be.

I'd like to continue my journal about this mystery clan tomorrow, after I've rested from my encounter.

Till our next adventure,
Marko.

10/3/18 Dear Journal,

My deepest apologies for taking so long to get back to you, my friend. I've just been having a splendid time with this clan and it's inhabitants! It's strange- even the Pearlcatchers and the Imperials here seem to stand side by side proudly, fearlessly watching their bretheren's back. This whole clan functions like a family. Though very few of them share blood, it seems their hearts have all become intertwined. Ilse especially is protective of everyone here. I've never seen a Guardian with more than one charge, but she seems to have all of her friends. Then again, perhaps I'm misunderstanding what a charge is,

I mentioned to Wren, the one who rescued me, that I seem to have lost my scarf in the fray near the crystal pools, and she insisted we return to look for it. When we couldn't find it, however, she introduced me to another guardian named Iridium. Simple as she may look, her pearl accessories brought a certain beauty to her, plain as she may be.

For a few moments I was unsure why I was brought there, and then Iridium went to work. She circled me, taking in all of my accessories and my choice of clothing, before she seemed to find the perfect thing- she brought back not only a new scarf, but a vest as well which, might I say, I look quite dashing in.

I'll be leaving shortly, but I've greatly enjoyed my time with this clan. I don't know where I'll be going next, but I do know that it's sure to be an adventure. Perhaps soon I'll return to visit Midna and the hatchlings- we shall see, I suppose.

Till our next adventure,
Marko.

10/22/18 Dear Journal,

I fear I might have stumbled into quite the horror show. Today I was flying out on another adventure after spending some time at home and found myself in the Abiding Boneyard. I was attacked by none other than a Spirit of Plague whilst I was scavenging for something that wasn't rotten and quite frankly, I was nearly killed until this terrifying Imperial called it off! She was huge and rather menacing with a skirt or kilt of red skin with skulls tied to it and a large blade strapped to her back. It seemed the Spirit of Plague belonged to her. I was about to flee, yet before I could, the Imperial spoke to me, she said; "Do you need a new place to call home?" She spoke gently to me and grinned a toothy smile at me that I strangely couldn't resist returning. Though I quickly told her that I had a home and after that everything kind of spilled out. I ended up telling this strange Imperial just about everything about me and once I had finished, she nodded her head and shook herself out. "How about you spend some time with us?" She inquired of me and I asked of whom she meant, to which she told me that she belonged to a clan called 'The Rotting Nightmare' and that her name was Bubonic, daughter of the clan leader. I couldn't help but agree as I have never been to a Plague Flight clan before.

After our discussion, Bubonic and I walked to her clan's home, a giant skeleton of some forgotten creature, and here I met the leader and his family. Despite being a plague clan, the leader was an Imperial of the Ice Flight by the name of Wendigo. I asked him about this and he only shrugged saying it was a long story. After that, Bubonic whisked me away to meet the rest of the family. The rest of the family it turned out was just Bubonic's two daughters, Rosey and Anarchy. Rosey, the younger one, was a slight pink thing with strange eyes, she greeted me warmly and kindly despite her sister. Speaking of which, the older sister, Anarchy, was quite the brute. She looked more like her mother and was covered in bloody bandages from fighting beasts. She even tried to challenge me to a duel! To say the least I declined.

After this, Bubonic showed me to the place where I'd be sleeping during my time at the Rotting Nightmare. To my surprise I was placed with a dragon from my home clan! He was but a dragonet when I saw him last, but by now he had grown into a fine Coatl. He informed me his name was Flamboyant and introduced me to another Wind Flight dragon named Swarm. It seemed the Rotting Nightmare was a clan that took in orphans and unwanted hatchlings of all kinds.

Though I admire this charity, this clan still inspires fear in me. They have many dragons with strange skeletal marks and the lead family seems a bit broken with only a father, a daughter, and two granddaughters, one of which is surely unstable. Not to mention the name of this place and its home in the rib cage of a monster. Though I will not let this all cloud my judgement. Bubonic was very kind to me, and Flamboyant and Swarm are good company. I will learn more about this clan and I hope that not everything is what it seems.

Till our next adventure,
Marko

10/23/18 Dear Journal

I got to experience several astonishing things here in the Rotting Nightmare clan. The first of which was the adopting of two hatchlings. Rosey brought them in at crack of dawn and Flamboyant woke me so I may see the newest members. One is a female Bogsneak named Nexus, she came from an Arcane clan and is quite the brilliant little thing. The other, on the other hand, was odd. He is a Coatl from a different Plague clan, and something is wrong with his eyes! The skin around his eyes was raw and sickly while his eyes were a sickly green and in many. The Rotting Nightmare rejoiced upon seeing this diseased hatchling but I kept my distance.

Later that morning, I was summoned to the skull of the skeleton in which this clan lives. Wendigo, the leader, was standing atop it with his daughter, Bubonic. The rest of the clan was below the skull and they all seemed excited. I wasn't sure what was happening until Wendigo cleared his throat and declared; 'I am stepping down from my position. And my daughter, Bubonic, will take my place.' And after that, the clan erupted into howls and roars of joy. Bubonic waited for the crowd to quiet down before she appointed several dragons to new roles. Rosey was named head of all hatchling and nest procedures, a Nocturne named Bright was put at the head of science, A spiral and Skydancer named Druid and Freya were named herb masters, and a Snapper named Menacing was put in the head of security. After that she dismissed the clan and Flamboyant took me hunting in the rotting wilds with a strange Wildclaw named Stalker who had many eyes lining his body.

When we got back, Rosey sought me out and practically dragged me to the nests, exclaiming that a new set of Rotting Nightmare hatchlings were hatching. She very much wanted me to see this and it was quite the experience. There were three eggs and from them came black mirrors with red skeletal markings on their bodies. They were all sisters and I could hardly tell them apart. But really that didn't matter, for just as soon as they let out their first squeals, Rosey scooped up two of the sisters and took them off. The mother, a mirror whose name I did not learn, watched her leave with sad eyes but made no move to stop the imperial. 'They go to the Mother now.' was all the mother of the hatchlings said before cuddling her remaining daughter close. That daughter would be named Shadowweaver.

Then lastly, at sundown, I got to experience something so odd and macabre that I fear to write it down. It was Bubonic's ceremony into leadership. It began normal with dancing and feasting, but just as the horizon swallowed the sun, one of the herb masters, Freya, stopped the festivities with a bang of a drum. Everyone ceased their conversation and a low humming started up as Freya began to dance around Bubonic who had situated herself on a flat stone in the center of the party. As she danced, Freya murmured in a tongue I don't know and the other herb master, Druid, began to fly about Bubonic's head, waving flaming sticks of some pungent herb. The smoke from the herbs made me light headed and what happened after is lost to me, but I distinctly remember Wendigo standing up on his hind legs over Bubonic and Freya cutting gashes in his chest and wings with Bubonic's blade. Bubonic let the blood fall onto her and after that I only remember the humming and the steady beat of Freya's drum.

Now that I am clear headed, I think I will leave the Rotting Nightmare clan. I do not know what became of Wendigo and I surely do not want to stick around to find out, or catch the sickness of the Coatl hatchling, or go to the Mother. This clan is barbaric and brutal. Though they were kind to me, I fear I cannot stand to be here any longer.

Till our next adventure,
Marko

Dear Journal,

I have stumbled into a clan called The Glittering Wilds. The dragons here seem quite strange, many are practicing all kinds of magic and seem to worship two large emperor dragons, both dressed in some kind of silks.

I don't know how long I will stay here, they seem harmless enough but.. its almost as if something strange is going on here.

Until our next adventure,
Marko

12/16/18

Dear Journal,

I met a strange dragon while strolling through this clan's marketplace. She claimed to be Roundsey, I do not think she was said person. She did try to con me out of all my treasure and gems, I am glad to say her suave way with words did not tempt me. She soon let me be after a wildly dressed orange and purple spiral started screetching at her.

I think I will soon make leave from this place.

Till our next adventure,
Marko

12/17/18

Dear Journal,

During my time here at The Glittering Wilds I was not able to interact with most who inhabit this place, but while gathering my things to make my way to the next location one of the emperor dragons came to me. She... they.. spoke all at once. It was very confusing and hard to focus, but I managed to understand some of the words spoken.

She had blessed me and said they would pray for my safe journey, I felt a sense of comfort at the words.

I do hope their paying will work, as I do not know where my wings will take me next.

Till our next adventure,
Mako.

3/7/19
Dear Journal,
I continue to contemplate the result of the genie's magic. The more I think of it, the more I am concerned for the welfare of my fellow travelers. In fact, this evening on my flight through a remote part of light territory, I was alarmed as a ball of flame suddenly erupted from behind me and to the right. A dragon I had not noticed had been following me, and suddenly burst into flame.

The nocturne nosedived toward the ground and as I landed, began to roll around in the grass, extinguishing the last of the flames. They were quite hostile at first, but following a profuse apology and an explanation, became much more friendly. He pointed me towards his clan, offering shelter and food for the quickly approaching night, on the condition that I don't set anyone else on fire.

To be extra cautious, he has asked me to travel separately while he goes ahead and tells the rest of the clan.

When I arrived, it seemed like the whole clan was bustling. At least ten dragons were moving in and out of the rubble; I caught a glimpse of the nocturne that brought me here but the next moment he had disappeared into a reconstructed ruin. A sharp-gazed fae was speaking to a loud mirror, something about night watch. A couple dragons obviously trying to finish up the day's work, an impatient looking imperial sitting at the far end of the ancient courtyard. An impressively expressive fae appeared out of the chaos and led me to a clean but relatively empty room. She asked me to stay there until one of her workers brought bedding.

It was not long at all until a pearlcatcher came with a wide array of bedding materials as well as the leftovers from that day's dinner, apologizing for the ruckus earlier and explaining that life here was rather peaceful normally.

It would seem my fiery introduction caused quite a stir in this little community. I will have to find a way to manage future incidents.

Until our next adventure,
Marko

3/8/19
Dear Journal,
Almost as if in order to balance out the events of yesterday, today was rather peaceful. You can hear the ocean from nearly anywhere within the walls of the ancient ruins, and it lulled me to sleep. In the morning, an arcane dragon with a iced-over artifact came to greet me. A precaution, presumably.

The fae did not seem prepared to be the one dealing with the guests, but was quite friendly and spoke quite a bit on his magical artifact and artifacts in general. He explained that he volunteered to show me around as the artifact made him immune to temperature magic anyway.

The tour was mostly interesting ruins and visiting various dragons in the middle of their work. Pretty mundane stuff. I was quite soothed by the humdrum of everyday work, though. It can definitely be a nice change of pace for one as traveled as I.

Presumably the calm life is a little too boring for some of the younger dragons here, as after dinner I was approached by a collection of young dragons looking for a story or two. The impatient-looking imperial was here, to my surprise, and even moreso, once I began telling my adventures his sarcastic comments dropped as he was caught up in the tale.

After some time, I returned to my room to think and write.

Until our next adventure,
Marko

3/9/19
Dear Journal,

Today the clan brought me to the local market. It was quite a procession; apparently somewhat of a minor holiday. Most of the younger dragons came along, although they were roped into carrying some kind of good or product to be sold in the next town over. I had quite a nice chat with the clan's trader on the way, although the nervous hovering of the young dragon with the ice artifact put both of us on edge a little bit. Luckily, no one caught on fire this time.

The next lair over was quite quaint, but its centerpiece, the market was a noisy burst of commotion. A couple hundred dragons buying, selling, and trading. The clan's trader disappeared into the crowd and I was tugged along by the hatchlings, who were eager to see the sights. I saw him again later selling his goods at one of the stalls, where he slipped me a small purse and nodded to the hatchlings with a sparkle in his eye. "If you buy them something, I'm sure you'll go down in history." He laughed. The hatchlings were easily delighted by some sweets.

It was a relatively eventful day, but I didn't realize at the time how tired I was. It was only until the drooping procession got back to the Lostcliff Beacon that I realized how much I missed my bed.

Until our next adventure,
Marko

3/10/19
Dear Journal,

Though I very much enjoyed my stay here, I must move on. It is the early hours of the morning and I am packing my belongings for my next journey. It was a nice, serene stay, as much a vacation as I could get. The sea air is quite calming and I can already hear the cooks bustling around across the courtyard. After breakfast, I will be leaving.

Until our next adventure,
