She came in the middle of the night, shrouded in a thin, burlap cloak. The once Plague lair, turned Earth was warm, inviting and the sounds of jovial voices carried out. It drew Vhostym in. She smelled fresh cut fruit, meat and foliage that carried from the lair. Mouth watering, she quietly walked forward until she reached the mouth of the lair. The cavernous lair held many dragons, all from different lands, breeds and age. A few hatchlings lingered together, sleeping off the days excitement. Vhostym was tempted to step into the light of the fire, make herself known but something told her '[/i]Not yet.'[/i]

For days, Vhostym remained hidden just outside Ornstein's lair. The massive Guardian ever watchful and careful, except when around his mate, Samhain. The beast gentle on the younger, quieter Wildclaw. from where she remained, she listened and learned.

Finally, after days of hiding and listening, Vhostym stepped into the mouth of the lair. She spoke to Ornstein, appearing humble and caring. She told of great terrors that would befall the lair. A famine that would lasts months on end. Plucking a red fungi from her back, she handed it to Ornstein, claiming that mashing it and marking the entrance of the lair would keep the famine at bay. The Guardian was weary of the stranger's claims but the fears of his mate and his clan forced him to place trust in Vhostym. He did as she said and the famine never came.

Vhostym was accepted into the lair, many dragons going to her for advice, help and guidance. After months, she proclaimed herself to be a prophet that was sent to keep the clan from harm, promised them all wealth, healthy and plentiful clutches and prosperity. Vhostym lapped at the attention given to her, told outlandish prophecies and fooled them all. A pearcatcher and Guardian watched and whispered to each other. Blight and Tesona knew of her lies. Only the blind could see the truth. Her lies burned their ears. The mated pair needed to warn Ornstein of her lies, needed to protect the clan.
