Change is a bad thing. It takes something that you know, something that you like and turns it upside-down. And Llana has hated it for as long as she can remember. It must have started way back when she was a hatchling. She knew the comforts of her nest for only a few days before she was thrust into the world. She tried to make the best of it, she really did, but it was so hard. She missed the tightly woven branches and trailing vines of her nest. She missed the comforting feel of her sister's feathers pressed up against hers. She missed the way the trees whispered in the wind, and the gentle symphony of crickets that lulled her to sleep every night. But she never lost hope. She wandered the world, until finally, she found a place she could call home.
