Apogee

She slinks out of the darkness of the Driftwood Drag, as dark and determined as the shadows from which she originates. She searches throughout the land of Shadow for a place to call her own; lair after lair, seemingly perfect until a beautiful clan is discovered inside, already cozied up for the night. So many with potential, but still just not quite right. She began to be discouraged, her head hanging low with exhaustion as the sun began to rise.

That is, until she found Aperature Flats - and Cyperus, who wasn’t sure where he came from either. The pink Tundra was the least of what she expected a dragon from the Shadow Flight to be - bright and cheerful, eager to please and befriend. And when he asked her name, the Mirror wasn’t sure how to respond, but after a long, thoughtful pause and several odd looks from Cyperus, she named herself - “Apogee” (as she was the epitome of what a Shadow dragon ought to be, in her mind) and gave the Tundra her first gift: a haiku.

New to this land and this world,
My home now is found.
