Biography

Clan Trader and Merchant

A hardy and reliable Guardian lass who someday hopes to open a curio shop of oddities. Shale takes great pride and delight in trading with dragons both in and out of the clan. Her efforts and earnings are a large part of what keeps her fellow clanmates fed through the changing seasons; though she is held in high esteem for her generosity, she would sooner hear of a new unique item than be showered with thanks. Shale is content just to be able to handle rarities and oddities with her own claws. Her spare time will often see her in her very full cave in the expansive lair, pawing through her large collection of trinkets and pondering what stories they have to tell.

This trading and love of collectibles presents a problem, however. Shale cannot help but hoard anything and everything, from meaningless scavenged stones and scraps of illegible parchment to cheap wooden masks and replicas of popular Sornieth landmarks. She swears to the rest of the clan that they are items that she "might need someday".
With her skill in the trade markets at her back, few dare to ask questions or raise complaints about the cluttered, haphazard mess. However, if they are lucky, a hatchling or two can usually make off with a neat trinket to show off to the others.

Shale arrived at the clan from the distant Dragonhome with the hopes of pricing some of Parhelion's metalworks...and a chance to peek at the curious red tint of the Blood Forge while she visited. The constant stream of outgoing goods and visits from interesting wyrms was too much temptation to simply wander away from, and Parhelion promised good company and a permanent home if she stayed. Shale will occasionally leave on business, but otherwise is very content in her new home.
