(Land Before Time OC- A young Sordes, near around the age of Littlefoot and Co.)

The Great Earthshake separated many, and Dessie was no different. A weak flyer due to wing troubles, she was left behind by her family. Sometimes she remembers, in sleep stories, watching them fly away as the ground rumbled and split and she cried out, her tiny voice lost on the wind.

Sometimes, should she tell the story, she messes up details, and confuses herself.

She was found not long after the quake by Atlus, a Quetzalcoatlus, and a small herd of others, flyers and non, from all different walks. They were looking for a new home, and she joined them. Others still joined as well as they made their way across the land before settling in Skywater Valley, a green area, fertile enough until the wet times flooded the lands. And so they travel until the Valley is liveable once more- a constant stream of coming and going.

Dessie spends much of her offtime in Skywater Valley playing with a small group of three other young ones. They're larger than her, and tend to use her as a scapegoat for mischief gone wrong, but Dessie doesn't mind, since there's no one to really fuss at her. When the parents call her playmates home, there is no one to call Dessie, so she goes to her waiting spot, in hopes her mother will fly by. She also naps, looks for sparklestones, and chases hoppers.

It is in her Skywater Valley waiting spot she finds Pterano (just at the start of his Great Valley exile, information Dessie will not know). She forces him along back to the herds, and invites him to stay at her nest, excited for the company.

In his time in the Valley, she starts seeing him as a father figure.
