____Every now and then, you see Vlaga pull a star-shaped earring out of his pocket. He gazes at it fondly, cradling it with a gentleness unlike him. When you ask him about it, you expect him to crack a joke or smirk, but he simply just smiles.

"My wife owns the other one, y'know. I bought these for her - the first things I ever bought honestly with my own damned money. It was at that moment I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, that I'd give up being a thief and settle for honest work if it meant seeing Mao's face every day. And y'know what? I don't regret it. I never have."
