History

Scattered throughout the Skyfell Forest, lodged deep into magically formed chasms or choked by overgrowth lies the ancient remnants of a lost kingdom. In the deepest of these chasms, in the darkest part of the forest, a massive statue lay broken and forgotten. The ancient imperial was depicted twisted in pain, cast down from his station and punished by a horrible death. The few dragons who occasionally stumbled across the statue of Haemoira never returned to his resting place.

A conflict between a flock of harpies a part of the beastclan alliance and some of the earliest Skyfell residents soaked the forest in blood. The chasm Haemoira's statue was in filled with blood in gore as the dead were cast down in to the pit. This was not a coincidence- Lailyn had discovered that Haemoira's statue actually held his spirit. In life, there was no more savage, cruel, and bloodthirsty warrior than Haemoira. She had discovered an ancient ritual left there by his followers, and the Cult of Golden Blood was going to bring him back.

The ritual worked, and Haemoira rose once again as his spirit possessed his blood bathed statue. Haemoira had gone mad while he was trapped, but the loss of his guile and cunning didn't stop his drive to kill. Lailyn quickly found that she couldn't control Haemoira directly. As long as she directs him towards enough victims, he stays out of her way.
