Head Castle Guard
Out of a nest of two nocturnes and one imperial, Fern was always the one to stand up for her nocturne brother Splosh and her imperial sister Pixie. She had incredible strength and held a determination. Eventually Splosh moved away and it was her and Pixie left. With her fathers hunting and fishing instincts and mother scaring nature she was bound to become a good protector.
Over the years that they grew up together Fern grew strong and learned the blade. The castle dwellers noticed her skill, especially Vartan. He eventually made the decision to promote her to guardsmen. At the time, it was only her but then she was given an apprentice, Endiera who was found at the castle doors as a hatchling
