Hatchlings born to The Stricken are trained in warfare and survival skills. Growing up seeing the Gladekeeper and Plaguebringer worshiped side by side means they are surprisingly openminded to new ideas, but tend to be blasé about death and violence which can come across as callous to dragons from other flights.
Melody’s parents were a Anthropologist and a Musician. She has her mother's flair for showmanship but she took much greater interest in her father's work studying people's behaviour. Unlike her father she was not trying to gain deeper understanding; she wanted to know how best to control others. She will use any means at her disposal to try to gain the upper hand in any situation however her total self confidence can be her undoing.
