History
Oryx is a mercenary who specializes in escorting scholars and scientists through the wastes. She visited the stricken regularly on business and decided to make a permeant base with them after befriending many of the warriors. She enjoys the rugged warrior spirit but not enough to compromise on luxuries so the Stricken were a good balance for her.

Fayt was originally given to her as partial payment for her services. At the time of course she and the archaeologist believed he was a jade statue. He sat in her quarters for a number of years until a mistimed swipe of a tail awoke him.

At the time the lair had no spare room so Oryx reluctantly agreed to let him stay with her and intended to escort him back to the earth domain when she had time. However Fayt set about helping her with her work and won her over with his thoughtfulness.
