Only the most determined of stargazers have ever caught sight of Astra as she darts across the sky. Quick as lightning, brilliant as a shooting star, yet small enough fit in the palm of a larger dragon's hand.

At some point, Astra had been as normal as any other hatchling, only the odd spatter of starlight across her scales here and there. She could hear the whispers of the stars however, and managed to trek up to the highest cliff she could when her family was not paying attention. Once there, she took that final step, and plummeted down towards the crashing waves below.

Yet just before the icy waters could claim her tiny body, the stars reached out and lifted her up, far above the clouds and into the clear night sky above, where she has stayed every since.
