Steerpike

Steerpike is a major grump, the savagery of his species tempered by his love for his mate alone. He loves Aidity unconditionally, her occasional airheadedness can annoy him but then everything annoys him so it's nothing different. He is fairly cunning and very little escapes his notice. He can also be gentle when it suits him, and, while he may occasionally grumble at them, and even threaten, he would never harm any of the members of his new pack.
Steerpike lost his pack in a storm and crashed through the roof of Aidity's burrow and broke his wing. He was originally quite dismayed to find that he'd landed at the feet of a Tundra Dragon, fortunately she won him over enough for him to allow her to help mend his wing. After staying with her for a little while longer, Steerpike found that the Tundra's presence was tolerable, she didn't chatter but spoke rather melodically and he liked it when she sang. Not to mention her jokes actually made him crack a smile. His wing took longer to heal than he expected and by the time he was finally able to fly again the chances of finding his old pack were negligible, so he stayed with Aidity.
Recently, Steerpike came into possession of a magnificently spotted hide. He was none too pleased with this development at first, but after Esti said it made him look more intimidating he warmed up to it.
