Northena was born in a small town of The Shifting Expanse. She was a single child between her parents since her mother left shortly after a few years after she was born. Her father had two other mates and is still with his third so she has a lot of half-sisters and half-brothers and even cousins along with nieces and nephews. She never got close with any of them though. She even looks different from them all.

She has always been energetic and confident. She loved adventuring out in the wilderness near her home and never backed down from a challenge. She never lacked sharp words either. She is very protective of those she is close with as well as her pride. It’s not easy to make her scared, she is ready to do whatever she has to.

The way her family life turned out did bother her for a long time until she spoke about it with one of their newer residence at the time - Star. They didn’t particularly get along with each other, but after she heard her out and talked with her they became friends and eventually best friends. About two years later she made another best friend named Silky who also traveled into their town. After months she became very close with the both of them. Together they trained as warriors and become some of the best with Silky as the leader of their group.

After the small town grown into an ever-expanding kingdom, Silky was chosen as the queen to rule that kingdom. Silky then chose her and Star to become her advisors. Just as Star, Northena accepted. She swore to do her absolute best. She promised not to disappoint. She never dreamed of being someone as important like that and her pride would not let her fail.

In a few days after Nebula's arrival to live in the castle, they caught someone who worked for Pyro second in command. After not getting anything from him for two days Northena was tasked with torturing him for information. When it didn't work and Star had talked with him and got him to agree, he told them Pyro's plans. Northena felt horrible for almost killing him, but Aster forgave her and they became friends. They successfully dealt with the attack, but ended up in the desert in a trap fighting a powerful being called a spawn named Eurynome. They won and ended up having her join them. Pyro managed to escape though.

While Silky left to discuss an alliance with another kingdom, she spent a lot of time with Aster. She was curious about him and still felt bad for what she did to him. After days spent together passed she fell in love with him and didn't hesitate to show it to him. He didn't expect that, but he felt the same. That was how she found the love of her life.
