The void. Commonly mistaken for the abyss, is not a dark and dreadful place. The void carries with it truth and knowledge and power far beyond the mortal's capacity to understand. It is beautiful. The plants there never grow the same, the animals live without fear, and there are opportunities to gain power everywhere. The universe beckons with toothy grin to invite you into this realm - go ahead. The void does not keep anyone, though reluctant it will be to let visitors go. Do not stay. Do not linger in these old ruins and do not make promises. A promise is binding in the void.

But be warned of another, much greater danger; The beings that lurk in this apparent paradise are not reflections of what you see. Perhaps some are beautiful. Made of glass and sharp edges and vivid colors. They look peaceful, don't they? Perched upon their pedestals and idly watch their realm - those pale eyes have seen both horror and beauty, both cruelty and kindness. They are not kind beings. They may not be inherently aggressive or hostile, and most will never hurt another god or any lost mortals.

But do not trust those cool eyes or that angelic smile. Do not trust their warm laughter or their slow movement. They are old gods, older than our realm, older than time itself. They've existed for millions of years. They do not know sympathy, they do not know of mortals needs and mortal law. They are ancient horrors that this world tried to bury - but here, here is an open invitation. Enter the void. Learn the secrets of this world.

Varaceai is one of these ancient beings. He moves with all the grace of an angel, he fights with dark magic. He speaks with a voice both soft and commanding, a voice of an eldritch horror rumbling from deep within his crystalline chest. When he speaks, several voices are heard, both male and female, all at once. A god's voice.

One of the few to wander from the void, Varaceai's entire being thrums with power. His gaze is warm and yet cold, an unnerving mixture that leaves a bitter taste in ones mouth. He speaks with an otherworldly understanding, finding humor in the woes of mortal life and yet making an effort to aid those willing to give a part of themselves to the void.

Some may ask what he is, who he is. The old beast just laughs in response and looks off into the dark sky.

"That is knowledge you cannot comprehend. I am ancient. I was here at the beginning....and I shall be here when it ends."
