Nura

Nura comes from one of the aristocratic Earth clans from Dragonhome. Nura's parents had lost much of their wealth after her and her siblings hatched since her mother grew ill after laying them. It was something they got over quick since they figured "eh, we'll just pair one of them off and get a huge dowry or dower". Needless to say they had a....distant relationship with each other.

Nura was taught to be proper, not to put up a fuss, and be a good wife to whoever she was gonna be, well, pretty much sold off to.

The clan her soon to be husband came from just wanted their blood line passed on and held their children up to a high standard. And they happened to find her and her family good enough to try. She didn't know what filled her with more dread. Being chosen, or being over looked and having to be sent back to very upset parents.

But luckily, or unluckily, she was chosen.

But she was still terrified. She didn't want to be with someone cold, or end up with someone out of obligation. What if They were cruel? Or abusive? Or as uncaring and unloving as her own parents? She was scared...but hey, it also may be better than staying with parents that blamed them for being so close to losing their place among the Earth flight's elite. So despite being pretty much sold off, and also being given a list of 'rules' for being Grahams's wife ("You are to address him as your lord. You are to help him disrobe before bed. You are not to lay with him unless invited to. You are never to deny him." Etc etc) she decided that she'd do her best to actually get along with him. Something that caught Graham off guard. She didn't coldly address him as "my lord" but rather warmly with a "Hello dear!" Or "Welcome home Graham!" She greeted him with warm smiles, with warm meals and over all....a genuine kindness he's never seen before. It warmed a part of his heart that just...made him want to do the same.

He started to bring her gifts. Things he'd think she'd like. He'd also talk to her and just...over all bond with her. Both of then did end up falling in love. Deep enough love that Graham started to notice she seemed unhappy there. He understood, he was unhappy too. So they spoke and decided. They'd run away. They flew off some place they'd think either of their families would look, and some place willing to accept them, and maybe even help keep them hidden and safe. And they found Eden.

They were happy, and even happier knowing that their first nest wasn't an empty obligation to help pass on blood, or carry on a lineage...but a love filled want to raise a family. Happy that their children were born in a place where they could choose their own life. And Nura always loves telling her babies the story of a prince and princess who fell in love and found happiness when they ignored their crowns and ran away from their kingdoms. Because they knew happiness was what truly mattered
